Nevada baseball game postponedThe University of Nevada baseball team's game at the University of Pacific on Friday was postponed due to rain. The game is scheduled to be made up as part of a doubleheader as the two teams will play two games, beginning at noon Saturday. CHS girls basketball wins state academic titleThe Carson High girls basketball team won the state academic championship for the 2009-2010 season. As the state academic champion, Carson's girls basketball team had the highest cumulative grade point average of any other 4A girls basketball program in the state. Carson has won more state academic titles than any other school in the state.
Nothing But Nylon set for springThe Nothing by Nylon Basketball Club is looking to play in tournaments in the Sacramento area this spring. WNC softball series postponedDue to this week's bad weather and the expectation of more bad weather, the Western Nevada College softball team's home opening series against Utah's Snow College scheduled for this weekend has been postponed. WNC and Snow College have agreed to reschedule the series at a neutral site. WNC will play a four-game series on March 24 and 25 against Salt Lake Community College in Salt Lake City The Wildcats will then stay in Salt Lake City to play a four-game series against Snow College on March 26 and 27. The Wildcats' home opener will now be against College of Southern Idaho on Friday, March 12 at Edmonds Park.
